Nova Scotia Demand Express Entry Requirement

  • Educational diploma/certificate credentials.
  • Minimum1 year work experience in full (or part-time of 6 years) under NOC skill (O, A or B).
  • 7 CLB language score.
  • score of 67 points.
Nova Scotia Experience Express EntryApplicants can apply via federal Express Entry pool under following programs.

  • Federal Skilled Worker
  • Federal Skilled Tradesman
  • Canadian Experience Class

Applicant Requirement

  • Age between 22 – 55 years.
  • Intention to immigrate.
  • Minimum1 year work experience in full (or part-time of 6 years) under NOC skill (O, A or B).
  • Valid work permit.
  • Passed secondary or post-secondary education or its equivalent.
  • Language skills in English/French.
Nova Scotia Skilled Worker ProgramForeign nationals skilled, semi-skilled & low-skilled with following experiences can apply.

  • Highly skilled work experience falling under job levels of O, A or B.
  • Semi-skilled experience in job levels NOC ‘C’ having 6 month work experience from a Nova Scotia employer.
  • Low skilled applicant in job level NOC ‘D’ having minimum 6 month work experience.

Applicant Requirement

  • Age between 21 – 55 years.
  • Intention to work & settle.
  • Proof of status in Nova Scotia or foreign applicants then provide legal status of resident country.
  • Job offer.
  • Passed high school credential.
  • Training or licensing credentials.
  • 5 CLB language score skills in English/French.
  • Financial proof.
  • Employer is PR from Nova Scotia having minimum 6 months
  • Employer’s job offer must be fulltime permanent.
  • Employer’s history must show good practices following all laws & regulations.

Entrepreneur Stream

Applicants wanting to start business in Nova Scotia having experience and offered 1 year work permit to promote their business are eligible as entrepreneur.

Applicant Requirement

  • Show intention.
  • 21 years.
  • fund CAD$600,000 CAD.
  • capital investment CAD$ 50,000.
  • 5 CLB language score in English/French.
  • Passed out from Canadian High School or equivalent qualification.
  • Applicant’s min. business share is 33.33%, and must participate in every day management plans.
  • Only profit oriented business applicants can apply.
  • 1 fulltime job position to be filled by Canadian or PR resident.

International Graduate Entrepreneur Stream

Foreign graduates who want to live in Nova Scotia permanently while owning/managing a business fall under this stream.

Applicant Requirement

  • Min age of 21 years.
  • Show interest.
  • Passed post-secondary 2 years Diploma at Nova Scotia University/Community College.
  • Experience of business operations for a year before applying.
  • 7 CLB in language assessment in English/French.
  • Full share in business, besides participating in day to day affairs.
  • Business must operate under Low Income Cut off (LICO) compensatory measure.
  • Business must be profit oriented.
  • Must assist in economic development of Nova Scotia.
  • Hire 1 full time Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

Physician Stream
In physician stream general practitioners, family physicians, and specialist physicians can apply to work in Nova Scotia. The stream recruits and retains physicians in response to vacant position unfilled with Canada’s permanent resident or its citizen.

Applicant Requirement

  • Applies to general practitioners and family physicians (NOC 3112) and specialist physicians (NOC 3111).
  • The position shown must be on official NSHA or IWK letterhead signed and dated by authority at the NSHA or IWK. Also needs the signature of the applicant applying.
  • Showing eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of NS.
  • Applicant applying must be eligible to apply for with NSHA and IWK privileges, credentials.
